Planned Litters

This will be Ulla’s final litter before her well-earned retirement, and we are eagerly awaiting her to come into heat any day now.

We have carefully selected an outstanding match that beautifully complements Ulla’s drive, intelligence, exceptional temperament, and natural sweetness. Johnny is a well-versed, sturdy, even temperamented working dog. He is calm minded, focused and gritty.

Johnny has successfully completed his health clearances, earning Good hips and Normal elbows. His Embark testing indicates he is genetically clear, with a 5% COI.

This thoughtfully planned pairing is expected to produce puppies with an average COI of 5%. Anticipated colors include black and white, red and white, black tri, and red tri, all with or without masking.

We will be confirming pregnancy via ultrasound around May 25th, 2026.

After the exceptional litter Freyja produced previously, it’s hard to imagine anything surpassing the Witches Brew puppies. That said, I have very high expectations for this upcoming pairing.

Johnny is a true, ranch-raised working cow dog in every sense of the word—intense, powerful, and deeply committed to his job. Ranch life is all he knows, and it shows in his work ethic and ability on stock. While he is naturally reserved with strangers, he is entirely focused and devoted to his owners. His temperament and working style make him an excellent complement to Freyja.

Johnny has a clear genetic panel, a 5% COI and passed his OFA clearances with Good hips and Normal elbows. He already has multiple litters on the ground that are successfully working stock, further reinforcing our confidence in this pairing. We have no doubt that Johnny will be an outstanding match and that his genetics will be a valuable addition to a Vanir litter.

This litter will produce puppies with approximately 4% COI and colors can include black/white, red/white, black tri and red tri puppies!

Fiji is out of our litter D and is co-owned in Pittsburg, PA with Allegheny McNab Shepherds. She is a fast paced, high drive, hard hitting girl who loves just as intensely as she does everything else. There is nothing soft about Fiji, except her devotion to family and work. Fiji will be completing her health clearances this spring and, pending passing, will be bred in the fall. She currently competes in herding and dock diving, and will soon begin in disc.

Magic is a wonderful, distinguished gentleman who will beautifully compliment Fiji's intensity by keeping the drive, but adding in a little softness and calm to the mix. Magic is a wonderful, sturdy male who has previously sired a wonderful litter.

This litter will be co-bred by me and raised in PA by Allegheny McNab Shepherds.

This litter should be a wonderful, versatile, sweet and competitive one!

Liv is 25 lbs of love. She is an incredibly agile and fast dog, who also has an excellent off switch. She has great drive for toys and food. She is one of the most gentle and loving McNabs I've ever met, and tries to be friends with everyone. 

Angus, or Gus, is a true ranch hand. He has an incredibly stable temperament, is extremely athletic and has the stamina to cover many miles in the desert heat every day. 

This pairing will produce puppies with approximately 5% COI, and the color potentials are black and white, red and white, black based sable, brown based sable, black tri and red tri, all with or without masking.
