Planned Litters

Liv finalized her OFA health clearances and went into heat! She was bred on November 23, 2025 to Iron Oaks Shake n Bake "Quake". 

Liv is a black and white, 25 lb female who has beauty and grace. She is an insanely athletic and incredibly fast McNab who has shown a very keen eye for stock. She is sporty and I expect any of her puppies to follow suit.

Quake and Liv will produce puppies with approximately 5% COI and all puppies will be black based; black and white, black based sable, black tri and black agouti. We are hoping to have their litter on the ground around January 25th, 2026.

This will be Ulla’s final litter before her well-earned retirement, and we are eagerly awaiting her to come into heat any day now.

We have carefully selected an outstanding match that beautifully complements Ulla’s drive, intelligence, exceptional temperament, and natural sweetness. Miller, the littermate to our lovely girl Liv, comes from a working ranch in Texas and truly embodies the qualities we value most. He is an exceptional male, and we are thrilled to introduce his outstanding genetics into a Vanir litter.

Miller has successfully completed his health clearances, earning Good hips and Normal elbows. His Embark testing indicates he is a CEA carrier, with a 5% COI.

This thoughtfully planned pairing is expected to produce puppies with an average COI of 6%. Anticipated colors include black and white, black tri, and black-based agouti.

This is an announcement I am absolutely thrilled to share!

Enfys is a newer addition to Vanir, and her strong breeding has been evident from the moment she arrived. She has transitioned seamlessly into life here and continues to impress in every way. Enfys is a stunning three-year-old female from Bethlehem Kennels in Tehachapi, California. She has passed her health clearances with outstanding results—Excellent hips and Normal elbows. With tremendous drive, excellent stock sense, and a rock-solid temperament, she truly exemplifies the qualities we strive to produce.

Angus is a co-own from our C litter, and he is the definition of an exceptional, well-rounded dog. He is an indispensable partner on his owner’s ranch—trail riding, gathering stock, assisting with daily farm chores—and just as reliable as a steady sidekick in public settings. Angus is a true do-it-all dog with a fantastic attitude. He is currently awaiting his health clearances, and we look forward to making this announcement official once those results are received.

After the exceptional litter Freyja produced previously, it’s hard to imagine anything surpassing the Witches Brew puppies. That said, I have very high expectations for this upcoming pairing.

Johnny is a true, ranch-raised working cow dog in every sense of the word—intense, powerful, and deeply committed to his job. Ranch life is all he knows, and it shows in his work ethic and ability on stock. While he is naturally reserved with strangers, he is entirely focused and devoted to his owners. His temperament and working style make him an excellent complement to Freyja.

We are currently awaiting Johnny’s health clearances. However, he already has multiple litters on the ground that are successfully working stock, further reinforcing our confidence in this pairing. We have no doubt that Johnny will be an outstanding match and that his genetics will be a valuable addition to a Vanir litter.
